Private Lessons
Voice lessons available for students aged 10 years through to adult.
Helen is a Certified Estill Figure Proficiency coach, and very experienced singing teacher accessing a diverse range of approaches to the voice. Helen is passionate about the tools the Estill method offers in singing, speaking and vocal health. Lessons are tailored to each individual student in terms of repertoire suited to their voice, range and personal taste. Students will be guided to develop a consistent vocal, postural and breathing technique to ensure they access the joy of the craft of singing, with confidence and developing mastery. The art or interpretation of vocal performance is also a focus of lessons for those interested in performing.
Piano lessons are also offered, providing students with evidence based playing techniques, focussed on students’strengths and interests.
Helen is a Classically trained pianist and improviser, and caters for all interests including: Classical, Jazz, Popular, free improvisation and songwriting / composition.

Exploring the Sacred Use of The Voice: Autumn Workshop 2025
This workshop explores sacred music and vocal techniques from a range of cultures and spiritual traditions.
A one day workshop for vocalists of all levels. Participants will explore deeper experiences of vocalisation, immersed in a relaxed and positive atmosphere, evoking stillness, energy and connection.
The content of the workshop encompasses :
Evidence based vocal techniques,
Singing the sacred music of 11th Century Christian traditions, ancient mantras, other spiritual traditions, and modern spiritual chants expressing universal themes of unity, world peace, and gratitude as an example.
Practising sounds, postures, and vocal blends that evoke upliftment and inspiration.

We work on our voices and choral craft individually and collectively to produce a unique and all - encompassing sound for the sacredness of the music we sing to be the focus of the listening experience for our audience.
